Required disclaimer
ZoneCue is a fitness tool, not a medical device. It does not determine a medically appropriate heart-rate range. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or changing an exercise program, especially if you have a heart condition, take medication that affects heart rate, experience symptoms during exercise, or have other health concerns.
Before creating your first zone
“I understand that ZoneCue does not determine my medically appropriate training range.”
Enter the range you already use from your coach, training plan, clinician, or preferred zone-calculation method. ZoneCue validates only the data format and minimum separation; validation is not medical approval.
What ZoneCue can and cannot do
ZoneCue can
- Follow your selected range
- Provide Watch run/walk cues
- Show local aggregate summaries
- Save completed workouts to Apple Health with permission
ZoneCue cannot
- Determine an ideal or medically safe zone
- Diagnose or detect a health condition
- Prevent injury or guarantee an outcome
- Replace medical advice or emergency monitoring
If symptoms occur
Stop exercising. Seek appropriate professional or emergency help for chest pain, faintness, severe shortness of breath, a racing or irregular heartbeat, or any other concerning symptom. Do not rely on ZoneCue to diagnose, monitor, or respond to an emergency.
Heart-rate and device limitations
Optical heart-rate readings can lag, drop out, or be affected by fit, skin contact, motion, temperature, tattoos, and device behavior. ZoneCue deliberately shows an unavailable-signal state instead of inventing a reading. A cue is guidance based on available sensor data, not a safety guarantee.
