Privacy at a glance
ZoneCue does not create a developer-managed account and does not operate a backend or database for app data. No ads, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs are included.
Information used during a workout
With your permission, the Apple Watch app reads heart rate during a ZoneCue workout and writes the completed outdoor running workout to Apple Health through HealthKit. Live heart rate is processed on the Watch to determine whether it should show a run or walk cue.
ZoneCue does not retain a separate raw heart-rate archive after a workout. It keeps only aggregate summary values needed to show workout history, such as duration, time below/in/above your chosen range, and minimum/average/maximum heart rate.
Information stored on your devices
Your user-entered zones, cue preferences, custom duration, subscription verification state, and aggregate workout summaries are stored locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch. ZoneCue transfers configuration and summaries only between the paired devices using Apple WatchConnectivity.
ZoneCue does not sell information, use health data for advertising, or use it to build marketing profiles.
Apple services and the static website
Apple processes App Store purchases, subscription history, Health data, device backup, and related Apple services under Apple’s terms and your settings. ZoneCue receives only the locally verified transaction and entitlement information needed to gate app use.
This static website has no form, account, cookie, web checkout, or behavioral analytics. Its hosting provider may process ordinary IP address, device, and request logs for security and content delivery under the provider’s controls. ZoneCue does not add a log drain or product analytics service.
Your controls and deletion
You can revoke Health permission in Apple settings. “Clear ZoneCue Data” removes local app zones, settings, and summaries and sends a best-effort purge request to the paired Watch.
Removing ZoneCue or clearing its app data does not automatically remove completed workouts from Apple Health. You control those records in the Health app. Local ZoneCue summary files are excluded from ZoneCue’s iCloud backup behavior.
Contact, rights, and changes
The final policy will include the approved legal entity, privacy contact, mailing address, effective date, launch-region rights, children/age statement, retention commitments, and material-change process after legal review. Those details have not been invented for this pre-release page.
